Custom Software: A Room Reservation System

I was the UX Designer for this interactive online form built for a large health and sciences university. [This project is nda-protected]

The project comprised 14 main screens through which users would request and process over 13,000 room reservations per academic term.

I was working with an experienced developer who was also the project owner; I was able to describe the core functions of the system with just a few flows, and a minimal number of wireframes overall.

The most challenging aspect of the design was finding a way for admin to quickly identify and adjust for room use conflicts, updates and changes.

I developed a visual language describing the reservation hierarchy, and gave the administration tools to quickly address what would otherwise be very complicated conflicts.
