I began my study of human systems as a Book Arts student, designing and building both traditional and experimental books by hand. I have become skilled at creating thoughtful and effective systems, not only as a professional visual designer, artist and craftsperson, but as a workflow, collections and team manager for various businesses and institutions.
My fascination with systems and relationships carries over to my work as an interdisciplinary artist and designer. I draw inspiration from my studies in animal and human evolution, human psychology and the relationship between man and machine.
Most recently, I worked as digital designer and manager for a design agency in New York. After five years there, I returned to Portland, where I have lived since 2016.
Trained in user-centered design principles, I began pursuing UX and systems design work in 2015, and currently work as a freelance User Experience Designer.
